LOVE LANGUAGES: THE ULTIMATE GIFT GUIDE

Guest written by Rain Andersen (@wearenotfriends_) a veteran sworker with nine years in adult entertainment and five years working for Lovers.

Love languages were first popularized in Gary Chapman’s 1992 book, The Five Love Languages: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate. According to Chapman, there are five ways to express and experience love. Chapman theorized that if couples could identify and cater to these love languages, they could improve their communication and have more fulfilling love lives.

While it’s possible to speak all five love languages, most individuals speak a primary love language- meaning that they express and respond to specific expressions of love, usually related to how love was expressed in their family of origin. Knowing your partners love language can help you to recognize when a partner is showing love, even if it is in a language that you are unaccustomed to speaking.

As Valentine’s Day rears it’s candy-coated head, we are revisiting Chapman’s five love languages in an effort to find the ultimate Valentine gift. Locate your love language below to find the perfect V-Day bundle to impress your loved ones.

PHYSICAL TOUCH: Intimacy is a priority for those whose love language is physical touch. Looking for a fun tip? Try surprising your partner by seductively blindfolding them as they unwrap their Valentine’s gifts. Help them to hold the gift in their hands and guess what each item is. Don’t be afraid to show excitement! Body language is equally important to individuals who value physical touch.
