QUICK LINKS:
What is Pegging?
Pegging is a sexual activity that involves stimulating a person's prostate with a Dildo and a Strap-On Harness. Individuals who are interested in Pegging will often explore with their fingers before incorporating Sex Toys or partners. This gets people familiarized with their bodies and the types of sensations they enjoy.
How To Find the Prostate
The Prostate is located approximately three to four inches inside the rectum of people with penises. To stimulate it, curve your pointer finger into a hook, pulling it back and forth over the Prostate in a “Come Hither” motion.
What are the Best Pegging Sex Positions?
Put some thought into the types of Sex Positions that can enhance your comfort and your confidence while Pegging. If you are new to Pegging, consider the Doggie Style Sex Position. It allows the Giver to have a greater range of motion. Want to slow things down? Try the Cowgirl Position; it provides the Receiver with more control over the depth, rhythm, and angle of each stroke.
PRO TIP: Missionary sex is a great option for beginners. In this position, the person being penetrated can lower their body onto the Dildo at their own pace, making adjustments to the angle of the toy as they move down.
What Do I Need to Explore Pegging?
A Strap-On Harness
A Strap-On Harness is a wearable device, designed to hold a Dildo. There are many different styles of Strap-On Harnesses including Underwear Harnesses, Vac-U-Lock Harness, Docking Harnesses, and More. The majority of Strap-On Harnesses will include adjustable straps and an O-Ring- a mechanism designed to hold and support the Dildo.
Harness Compatible Dildos
Tantus Silk, $38
A Harness-Compatible Dildo will have a flared base, that often (but not always) can be suctioned to flat surfaces. If you are new to Pegging, we recommend starting with a smaller sized Dildo or Anal Plug like the Tantus Silk and the Cheeky Swirl Anal Plug.
PRO TIP: Try wearing your Harness and Dildo around your house. The more comfortable you are with the way a Dildo hangs and moves, the better you’ll be able to control your thrusts.
Wearable Dildos (AKA Strapless Strap-On's)
Strap-On-Me Bendable Vibrating Strap-On, $159
A Strapless Strap-On is a type of Dildo that is partially inserted inside the body of the Giver, to add stability and sensation. It is a more advanced style of Pegging Toy that is designed to be inserted into the vagina, and held up using the Kegel Muscles.
Anal Relaxers
Daring Anal Relaxer, $27
Feeling anxious about Anal? You might consider an Anal Relaxer! Anal Relaxers soothe and dilate the Anus to prepare it for penetration. They can help to reduce the risk of Anal Fissures and improve your comfort with Pegging. Unlike an Anal Desensitizer, an Anal Relaxer will allow you to feel the full spectrum of sensations!
PRO TIP: An underwear style harness offers less adjustability, but can be an excellent option for couples that are looking for improved control. Underwear style harnesses hold the toy closer to the body, providing extra support and comfort during use. Bonus Tip: they are machine washable.
Lubricant
Lovers 8oz Water-Based Lubricant, $19.50
Perhaps one of the most important tools to have on hand when exploring Pegging: a good quality Lubricant. The anus is not self-lubricating so it is imperative that you have a store bought lubricant on-hand to supplement. Using a Lubricant will reduce the amount of friction, enhance sensation, and prevent painful fissures.
How to Peg a Partner: A Step-by-Step Guide
Regardless of gender or sexuality, anyone can experience the pleasure of Pegging. If done correctly, it can be not only sexy, but empowering. While mixing things up in this manner may raise a few questions- we’ve laid out a few steps to help ease your nerves!
Communicate Your Desires & Get Consent
Talking it out with your partner is the first and most important step. Get a feel for what you both are looking (or not looking) for when embarking on this sexual adventure. Don’t force anything that neither of you is comfortable with. Keep in mind that booty play doesn't have to be Pegging- if you're interested in this sensation, but not ready to Peg, you might enjoy using a Butt Plug!
Purchase Supplies
Once you’re ready, pick out a Strap-On Harness and Dildo (they are sometimes sold together). The person wearing the Strap-On Harness should consider what materials feel the best and offer the best fit. The receiving partner should communicate what they’re comfortable being Pegged with. Think about the size, shape, and form of what you desire.
Don't Forget the Most Important Ingredient: Lubricant
Always use a Lubricant when stimulating the rectum to prevent painful tears and abrasions. Spend Time on Foreplay Your body needs ample time to get aroused. This is a critical part to enhancing your pleasure and preventing pain.
The More Foreplay- The Better
Check In With Your Partner Make sure there is plenty of communication throughout! Finding a comfortable pace, depth, and rhythm will only enhance your experience. If Anal Stimulation is new to you, try some Anal Training exercises to ease into it.
Try Positions That Increase Comfort & Control
Move around and enjoy the sensations of your newfound sexual flavor.
