The Zodiac’s Grand Finale Is Here! Happy Pisces Season!

After a month of Aquarius Season’s social/political organizing and deepening of responsibility to our friends and community, in addition to engaging with our feelings of belonging clashing against fitting in when we want to stand out, the Sun entered soulful, forgiving, and completing Pisces on February 18th and lasts until March 20th.  

Pisces, as the zodiac’s fine artist of the soul, the one and only mutable water sign, is ruled by healing Neptune and wants us to understand how some of life’s most complex, meaningful, and definitive moments are beyond words, rationalizing, and logic. They must simply be emotionally felt and experienced. Joseph Campbell said, “It is by going down into the abyss that we recover the treasures of life. Where you stumble, there lies your treasure.” Pisces Season is the abyss we’re meant to explore and claim the treasures that are rightfully ours. 

There are endless ways to explore Pisces Season and I prefer to focus on how it gives us the divine timing for closure through a two-fold way. Number one, if we use Pisces’ waters to wash us clean of our own thinking traps, emotional missteps, and behavior that’s out of integrity, we can give ourselves self-compassion. A crucial piece of that process is taking radical responsibility for where we missed the mark and then commitment to change. Perhaps we even apologize to a hurt party so we can make amends. 

The next step is, who are we not to give others the same grace and forgiveness we give ourselves? If there’s someone you’d like to forgive because their mistakes are living rent free in your head, this is the season to do it. Though not always necessary in specific situations, I think we can commit to forgiving the little hurts or careless things people do when they’re in fear because we’re just as capable of doing something similar. So from taking ownership of the parts we play and thereby forgiving ourselves so we can forgive others, I think we know a little bit more of Pisces Season’s Heaven on Earth.
