It can be hard to navigate sex toys as a transgender man. Often, sex toys aren’t designed with transgender bodies in mind, so it can be challenging to know exactly which products are going to work and are worth purchasing. Whether you are a transgender man, a trans masculine person, FTM, nonbinary, or genderqueer, I want you to know that there are sex toys out there for you.
I tried out six products from Lovers designed for both solo and partner play. Whether you are medically transitioning or not, these toys are versatile enough to work for a variety of anatomies. For reference, I’ve been on testosterone HRT for eight years and have experienced bottom growth.
When it comes to language, it is always up to every transgender person to self-identify and use whatever language feels best for their own body. For clarity and consistency in this article, I’m going to use the words “dick” or “junk” interchangeably to refer to trans masculine genitals and “dildo” or “cock” to refer to silicone strap-ons.

We Vibe Touch-X
We-Vibe toys are some of the most aesthetically pleasing and well-made toys out there. The concept behind We-Vibe’s design began with the understanding that sex toys can and should be used by couples to experience shared pleasure during sex. This is something my partner and I are constantly talking about and searching for. Don’t get me wrong, I love taking turns. There is something extremely satisfying in a focused fuck—knowing that your job is to devote every ounce of your being to getting someone else off. There is also something that feels inherently queer about a “my turn, then yours” way of having sex. At the same time, as a transgender man, there is something so gender-affirming about being physically stimulated while you are fucking or going down on a partner. This is where We-Vibe’s powerful mini massager Touch-X comes in.
Touch X, $99.00
This toy is a massive multitasker when it comes to all types of stimulation and play. Touch-X is a palm toy that can be held in the palm of your hand or slipped in between two people during any type of sex. If you are a trans guy who straps-on, this toy’s flat and wide design is perfect for slipping in between either your junk/dick and your strap or your cock/dildo and your strap. The deep, rumbling motor is powerful and ensures stimulation even through material like leather or fabric. Just be careful of where you position the toy so that the buttons don't suddenly power off at the exact wrong moment (unless orgasm denial is your thing).
Speaking of buttons, I found that the + and - arrows can be a tad confusing at first to get the intensity just right setting without sending the toy off into some morse-code series of vibrations, but once I actually sat down and read the manual, it started to make sense. The silicone is silky and smooth and the matte finish feels super good against bare skin. This is the perfect toy for teasing and sensually caressing your own body or someone else’s, if that’s a part of your foreplay regime. Also, did I mention this toy is completely waterproof? Bring it into the bath with you next time and take your decompression session to a whole new level.
Another incredible trans masculine hack I found is to slip the Touch-X vibrator into a pair of packing underwear. When I first got the toy, I tucked it into the packer pouch in my boxers while folding laundry for some low-key foreplay. This was an awesome way to passively let myself get turned on without having to do much of anything. Whether you’re looking for a new vibrator to use by yourself or with a partner, We-Vibe’s Touch-X is a great non-gendered toy that is versatile enough to work with different sized and shaped anatomies.
While this one isn’t exactly a sex toy per say, the Archer Packer was the first packer I ever owned. New York Toy Collective is a sex positive brand who makes quality silicone dildos and gender-affirming products such as packers, STP (stand-to-pee) devices, pumps, binders, and other accessories. Archer is their signature circumcised packer that comes in three skin tones: cashew, caramel, and hazelnut and a handful of other playful colors like rose gold, and purple. Note: another darker skin tone option, chocolate, can be found for purchase on the NYTC website.
The Archer Packer, $55.00
If you’ve never packed before, Archer is a perfect place to start. Whether you want to pack privately or sport your stuff in public, Archer is a classic packer that has a good weight and feel to it. It creates an incredibly realistic bulge under clothing and looks especially good under tight-fitting underwear, whether you are wearing packing briefs or your fave pair of tighty whities. While the packer may not be hyper-realistic in its uniform skin tone or microscopic in details, Archer packer gets the job done by looking and feeling amazing in your pants. Archer’s bulge is a perfect size that makes it clear you are packing without being super obvious or looking like you have a permanent erection. The small size of the shaft is 4” and is meant for shorter trans guys. If you are a bigger boy or are looking for a packer to match your big-dick-energy, you can always opt for the 5.25” shaft from NYTC.
Vibrating Velvet Harness
For any trans guy or transmasculine person who has always wanted to feel more physical pleasure while strapping on, the design behind this vibrating harness is definitely for you. The harness is surprisingly comfortable—the front is made from velvet fabric with basic snap-on straps that can fit up to 60” hips. But the best part about this harness is that it comes with a bullet vibe that tucks into in a pouch behind the O-ring so that your junk can be stimulated while fucking your partner(s)’ front or back holes.
Now my experience with this harness was a mixed bag. This type of design is exactly what trans guys need, but the mechanisms of using the harness can be a little tricky. Make sure that you put your cock into the harness before strapping on, as it can get a little finicky trying to put the dildo through the O-ring once it’s already on your body. Although the straps might not look like much, they are surprisingly sturdy and can definitely withstand hard-core fucking—so no need to hold back.
Vibrating Velvet Harness, $48.00
It can take some trial and error to get the vibrator in the right position as it can be uncomfortable when it presses up against your public bone. I would recommend starting in the missionary position or doggie style to get your rhythm and flow down first. The battery life of the bullet vibrator doesn’t last long, but you can always swap it out with a vibrator that’s a little more reliable. I recommend the trusty USB-rechargeable Zee Bullet Vibrator from Dame.
It’s not the most intuitive or sleek harness on the market, but the design is one step closer to the types of sex toys and harnesses that we need for transmasucline bodies. This harness is definitely worth a try, and even if it doesn't get you to the big-O, it’s still fun to play around and experiment with.
A note on packaging: just to warn you, the packaging for this harness is extremely gendered. Plan on throwing the box away immediately after taking the harness out or seeing if you can get a best friend or a partner to unbox it for you so that you don’t end up feeling dysphoric or weird afterwards.
Le Wand Rechargeable Vibrating Massager
Finally, a wand that will last you a lifetime. If you’ve never used a wand before, I suggest that you stop reading this now and rethink your life choices. For the last thirty years, wands have been an incredible, surprisingly powerful sex toy that transcends gender. Le Wand has come out with a new pacific blue color way for their award-winning Vibrating Massager. If you are a power-king, then this wand is for you. It’s cordless and rechargeable and does a superb job at stimulating everywhere down there. It also comes with US, UK, EU, and AUS adapters so that you can bring your new best friend to every corner of the world and still get off.
Le Wand Vibrating Massager, $190.00
Sometimes, if you are a trans guy who has taken testosterone HRT and experienced bottom growth, your dick can get sensitive to acute pressure or sensation. However, the soft silicone head and immense power on this vibrator has enough surface area to make sure that everything down there is being stimulated all at once. If you experience bottom dysphoria, this sex toy can help reduce those feelings as it becomes impossible to separate exactly where the pleasure is coming from. The times when I orgasm the hardest is when I can’t tell exactly what it happening to my junk, but all I know is that is feels good as fuck.
We-Vibe Nova 2.0
Okay, this toy won’t be for every trans guy out there, but if you are a devotee of the Rabbit toys, then the We-Vibe Nova 2.0 is for you. If you’re into dual stimulation, then look for further than the Nova 2.0. This sex toy is intuitively designed and seems to hit just the right angle without trying too hard. The Nova 2.0 is perfect for those who are into penetration, but don’t want something super deep.
We-Vibe Nova 2.0, $149.00
The toy is designed for G-Spot stimulation and couldn’t reach your cervix (even if you tried!) which can be a really good option for trans men who want to be fucked but don’t necessarily want a lot inside of them. With this toy, consider your t-dick on lockdown and G-Spot in a chokehold. If you are a squirter, then make sure to pull out your towel or waterproof sheet before laying down with this one. And if you aren’t a squirter yet, you might be after using this toy. The Nova 2.0 by We-Vibe is also fully waterproof and comes with a magnetic port charger.
Snake Oil Cum Lube
This is one of my favorite cum lubes of all time. If you’re not familiar with cum-lube, it is exactly what it sounds like. Snake Oil is a hybrid-lube that is designed to look and feel like ejaculate. The bottle is a whopping 8 ounces and will last you forever. This is a hybrid lube which means that it feels as good as a silicone lube but cleans up like a water-based lube and is compatible with all silicone toys, including strap-ons.
Snake Oil Cum Lube, $24.50
If you want to take your play to the next level, Snake Oil lube is great to use with an ejaculating dildo or a 3-in-1 pack, play, and pee devices (such as the Peecock) that comes with a hole at the tip of the cock to make all your erotic cum dreams come true.
